About

Goaltending isn’t just another position — it’s its own world.

I’ve been playing and studying the position of goaltender for over 30 years. From youth hockey to adult league, I’ve spent decades learning the details that separate “getting by” from playing with confidence.

Today, I coach at Great Park Ice and work with developing youth goalies and competitive adult players who want structured, position-specific training.

My Coaching Philosophy

Every session is built around three core principles:

1. Balance First
A confident, controlled stance under pressure is the foundation of everything.

2. Efficient Movement
Strong edges, clean recoveries, and purposeful depth management — not wasted motion.

3. Game-Applicable Decisions
Drills should translate directly into what happens during games.

I don’t believe in random drills.
Every hour has a technical focus and progression.

Who I Work With

I primarily coach:

• Beginner and intermediate youth goalies
• Adult league goalies looking for structure and feedback
• Players who want more than trial-and-error learning

Whether your goalie is just starting out or looking to refine mechanics, sessions are tailored to their level and goals.

Most Important: It Has To Be Fun

Development doesn’t happen if players don’t enjoy the process.

My goal isn’t just to help goalies improve technically — it’s to help them build confidence, stay engaged, and develop a lasting love for the position.

When goalies enjoy the work, they improve faster.
